I must say I have been very happy with all the teachers and as for my son he loves it here and the project leader the way is one of the best programs that this school could offer any child when you need help each and every teacher has been up front, on point and most of all communication with each and every teacher is outstanding. My child is a sixth grader taking honors and seventh grade study and I couldn't be happier with his progress. Thank you to all of his teachers! Mr.Turner, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Noe, Mrs. Bourkova, Mr. Guzman, Mr. Hortes. Thank you for giving us a great transition coming from elementary school. As far as I know people should know that John young elementary and freedom middle are A schools and if you need more information on the school grades go to Ocps.net! NOT SCHOOLGRADES.COM and those other sites they do not show the true grades of the schools in Orange county. We love freedom middle!

Since my son is in this school, I noticed he is motivated and more responsible for attending and punctuality. The parent/teachers communication is A+.

This school made a huge difference in son's life who is now successfully in High School; so much that we actually have to moved to be closer to the school. Staff are great. They keep you posted on your son's education, needs and progress. Bullies free, the music program the best by far in Orlando, clean, safe, with after school program with differents activities. Teachers are respectful and friendly, and strict when it needs to be. It will take me a while to finish this review, but I can tell you now that my youngest one that is now in elementary school is going to FMS when the time comes. So I guess I'm not moving for a very long time.

Excellent communication throughout. The Administration team is by far the most involved, supportive staff that a parent could ask for.

My son goes to FMS. At FMS my child is challenged and safe. I go to work every day knowing they will take care of my son in case of an emergancy. I use progress book everyweek to keep me informed about my son's academics. Also, the administration supports and encourage me to be part of their community. Parents entering negative reviews need to get involve in their child's education and stop looking for excuses and blame other for their lack of interest.

Having moved from out of state to Orlando, we like Freedom Middle, however, the diversity may be leading to unchallenging assignments and being easy on students. My child hs had all A's, yet seems to spend only a half hour if that 'studying' or doing homework at night. I definitely don't want 3 hours/night of homework, but more challenging work that helps kids explore the world, current events, etc should be part of the curriculum. My child was definitely more challenged and seemed more involved before.

I think parents rather write the negative stuff only because they are not involved with the school. My daughter goes to freedom and I am proud of the staff etc. This is an excellent school!!!! I recommend this school to everyone!!!!!

As a parent and a grandparent of students who have attended Freedom Middle, I must say the overall approach of the administration is oppressive. There is very little freedom to be an individual at this school. The administration tends to be selective about it's approach to different ethnic groups. I hope my child's next four years encourage her to learn and be excited about education again. It took everything I had to encourage her to stay in school. Basically, I just had to assure her that things would be better in the next school.
